Abstract:
To make a choice between “folk” and “lore” seems to be strange question for folklorists. Which should the focus of folklore studies? Although they are equally important, one has to make a choice in actual studies. To deny this reality or a dichotomy does not help. This paper explores how each choice can take folklore studies to a different direction.
